This story started with a mission. A year ago, my friend Jen King, REALTOR®, introduced me to Andrea Krazeise, Founder and Executive Director of the Pregnancy Center. This February, Andrea reached back out because the Center needed more room for its services, and we set out to find the right building on Lee Road.
1971 Lee Road was it. There was already an offer on the property when I shared who our client was and what they hoped to do. Ownership supported the cause and chose to work with the Pregnancy Center. That decision made the purchase possible, and it’s a reminder that the story behind a deal can matter as much as the number.
As the Center prepared to close on 1971 Lee Road in April, they realized the building would have a vacancy. By coincidence, a neighbor of mine had just posted on Facebook that he needed new space on Lee Road. I connected the two, and the synergy around the mission was immediate.
Once 1971 Lee Road was secured, we listed the Center’s existing building at 2425 Lee Road. Marketing generated multiple offers, including one from a buyer who could close with a sale-leaseback, letting the Center keep serving clients while it finished renovations. 2425 Lee Road closed on August 28 at $403.01 per square foot, the highest recent benchmark for an office building of its size on that stretch of road.
Everything connected: one mission, two buildings, a neighbor, and a friend. Reach isn’t only about marketing. It’s also about the people who know you well enough to think of you when it matters.
